Fort Collins police investigating possible sexual assault

Fort Collins police are investigating a possible sexual assault that occurred Sat., Dec. 22 at approximately 1 a.m. in the 4900 block of Ziegler Road.

sex assault suspect 12.22.12A 19-year-old woman told police she was walking alone in the area when an unknown man approached her, pushed her to the ground and sexually assaulted her.

The suspect is described as a white male, 20-30 years old, approximately 6 feet tall, 180 to 200 pounds. He is described as having brown hair, brown eyes and wearing a dark hooded jacket, red shirt and gray beanie with some stubble on his face.

Fort Collins Police Services is asking anyone who may have been in the area and has knowledge of the incident or of the suspect to call Detective S. Jungmeyer at 970-416-2195 or Crime Stoppers of Larimer County at 970-221-6868.
