Drug and alcohol abuse researcher Audrey Shillington has been named the director of CSU’s School of Social Work.

Shillington is currently analyzing the stability of self-reports of alcohol and drug use among adolescents with funding from the National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism, according to her biography at San Diego State University.
Shillington was an associate director for a drug and alcohol center at SDSU before assuming her new role at CSU on Sept. 1.
She replaces Deborah Valentine, who was the school’s director since 2002.
The institution’s graduate program was ranked 60th in the nation in 2012 by “U.S. News and World Report.”
