4/20 Celebration Shows

Long before the legalization of marijuana, April 20th has been the smoker’s holiday. The details of how that day became a holiday are difficult to clarify, but who doesn’t love a reason to celebrate?

Few things go better with Mary-Jane than music. Fort Collins is full of both. For those of us that cannot make it down to 420 on the Rocks at Red Rocks, FoCo has you covered with dank live music right down the road. Roll on while I “reefer” you to where the groove is going down.

4/19: The CID Initiative, Creators of Individual Dreams, is a collective of musicians and artists that seek to make an impact in the Fort Collins electronic scene. Each week they host an EDM night at Hodi’s Half Note. To celebrate this year’s stoner’s holiday, they are hosting the “Is It 420 Yet?” show at Hodi’s featuring: Rudie Clash, Spellbinder & DJ Wadada, Waylo, and Barr3tt. Be ready to feel the bass.

4/20 & 4/21: CSU’s Theatre Department presents Reefer Madness: The Musical by Kevin Murphy and Dan Studney. This musical adaptation of the 1936 propaganda film shows how one puff of the green can put any young person down the devil’s path to a life of violent rampage. Check out this production at the University Center for the Arts.
