Wild and Scenic Film Festival to screen in LSC this evening

The Wild and Scenic Film FestivalLarimer County Conservation Corp’s Wild and Scenic Film Festival will screen in the Lory Student Center this evening, September 16, at 6 p.m.

The Wild and Scenic Film Festival was started by the South Yuba River Citizens League (SYRCL) in 2003. It is an annual event that celebrates the SYRCL’s efforts in receiving wild and scenic status for 39 miles in the Yuba river. Their goal is to combine the enjoyment of film with the importance of activism. The LCCC has selected 10 films that will captivate the audience with tales of adventure in wildlife and conservation efforts.

Sponsors include Colorado State University’s Warner College of Natural Resources, KUNC, Colorado Sound, Jax Mercantile and The Coloradoan.

The festival will begin 6 p.m. in the LSC. General admission is $16, but CSU students will receive a discounted price of of $13. Tickets are available for purchase at the door or online at www.larimerworkforce.org/wildandscenic.
