“I love going into the station, and I love talking to everybody in there,” Bell said.

On his 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday show, Bell plays primetime music with a focus on reggae and classic rock.

He also enjoys bringing in artists to the show. Future shows will feature other local bands, like Places Back Home and Post Paradise.

“It’s fun meeting artists and asking questions that nobody else would ask,” Bell said.

Though the economics major hopes to pursue a career in a math-related field, he says he values his experience DJing.

“I always wanted to be a DJ at a college station,” Bell said. “I grew up near Indiana University and would always listen to their station … I have been a DJ since freshman year.”
