Dalai Lama to speak in Boulder

The Dalai Lama will speak at University of Colorado Boulder Oct. 20 and 21 at the event “Compassion in Action.”

Hosted by the University of Colorado, the events on Oct. 20 will begin at 1:30 p.m. in the Coors Event Center

The events on Oct 21. are hosted by the Tibetan Association of Colorado and are also located in the Coors Event Center. From 9:30-11:30 a.m., the Dalai Lama will teach on the “Eight Verses of Training the Mind.” He will speak on the “The Wisdom of Compassion: Creating Peace, Happiness and Meaningful Lives in the 21st Century” from 1:30-3:30 p.m. 

Festivals celebrating Tibetan culture will occur from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Oct. 20 and 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Oct. 21. Music, food and exhibitions will be displayed.

Tickets are free for CU Boulder students, faculty and staff. More ticket information, including prices and discounts, can be found online.
