NOT Bound 2

As a long time and fan and recently self titled ‘ride or die,’ I still think Kanye can do no wrong. I mean obviously he did something a little less than genius with his new music video for “Bound 2,” but we’ll get to that.

Tuesday November 19th turned out to be a fateful day for Yeezus fans, including myself. Although I’m not an avid watcher of Ellen the TV Show (besides those little princess girls who loved Nicki Minaj), apparently Kanye decided that this was the perfect platform to deliver his newest work to all of his fans.

By the way can I just make a point that yes, Kim may have been in the video naked… but this is about Kanye! He is the visionary! Kim is basically Kanye’s best accessory in my opinion, and is ONLY an accessory to him in the video. Anyone? Come on.

After a very unenthusiastic introduction to the video and a blank stare by Kanye somewhere stage right, the video premiered on Ellen.

Yeah, it premiered on Ellen… what the hell is going on there? Whatever.

So the video started off really awful, was awful during the middle, and finished horribly. All of this is coming from a die-hard fan, so just keep that in mind (still, ride or die).

Initially viewers are bombarded with images of computer generated horses running wild throughout some field looking area, not sure about that but that happened guys. Wild horses.

Fast forward to the main part of the music video which would be topless Kim. It really angers me about how much publicity Kim is receiving for being topless in a music video with Kanye. First of all, didn’t she make a porn with Ray J!? This isn’t the first time she’s been topless on screen, so  we should probably all just get over that fact and her allegedly airbrushed body.

With a naked Kim in tow, the music video turns into somewhat of, “A soft-core porno,” according to popwatch.ew.com. But if we look past the motorcycle sex scene and the green screen background there’s apparently a deeper meaning according to this same website.

According to popwatch.ew.com speculation he is portraying some sort of dystopian world, and apparently is trying to send a message about his romance and why how it is  ‘deconstructed’ apparently like every romance is.

Whatever, Entertainment Weekly, thank you for trying to take a positive and artistic spin off of the ugliness that was the “Bound 2” music video.  Anyway, the video was pretty awful but the song, the album, and Kanye still are all of my favorite things.

By the way, don’t check it out if you still want to have respect for Yeezus (Ye, Yeezy, The God, or Kanye) …. but here’s the link.
