CSU volleyball against Texas A&M expected to be a win Saturday

Volleyball returns to the court on Saturday when Colorado State takes on No.26 Texas A&M.

Last night against the University of Wyoming, CSU continued their undefeated streak against the Border War rival. The Rams earned their fifth sweep of the 2013 season against the Cowgirls, increasing their record to 9-0.

CSU has been a strong team all-around since their opener three weeks ago. With veteran and first year players stepping up, the Rams continue to prevent opponents from blocking players on the outside or defending their momentum run.

Texas A&M will be eight days idle when entering Moby Arena. This is the third straight match against a ranked opponent for the Aggies as they swept then No.16 Florida State before No.7 Michigan defeated Texas A&M in five sets.

The Aggies are 7-2 in the season and 2-0 on the road.

A win for the Rams will not only continue their third best start in program history, it will extend their record to 10-0 with a perfect season in non-conference play.

“We do make the right plays at the right time; we are competitive, so we are gonna do what it take to win those game,” setter Deedra Foss said.

The match is scheduled to start at 7 p.m. MT. This is CSU’s final match before entering the push against Air Force and New Mexico on the road.

Saturday is scheduled to honor its Aggie heritage with an Orange out. The Rams are 3-0 in Orange Out matches, sweeping then in three contests.
