The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) deems little to no change in nationwide teen marijuana use this year, according to their survey published this month.

After legal weed was made available at dispensaries in Colorado and Washington many predicted teen use to go up. In the 2014 survey, a chart documenting drug use in children aged 12 years and older proves this not to be an issue.

Their statistics show that 7.4 percent of teens use marijuana monthly, compared at 7.1 percent in 2013. SAMHSA concluded that this change is not significant.

The survey also showed an increase in adult use. One percent more of Americans 26 and older use marijuana monthly then did last year.
