A new article from CBC news says that having a company holiday party is vital to an offices morale.  Ever since the economic downfall a few years ago, companies have been making cutbacks, and unfortunately that includes cutting back on company holiday events.

Exports believe that doing this can really affect employees morale.  It basically is like sending a message that they aren’t valued.  Sending a message like this can then decrease an employee’s effort in their work, which is the opposite affect of what you want to happen in a time of economic concern.
