Some of the best action-photojournalists across the world are coming together for their own version of the Olympic Games, seeing who can snap the best mountain biking photos.
According to Brandon Barrett of Whistler Question, the competition will bring all of the photographers to one location, where the playing grounds for the images are on fair turf.

“The annual Deep Summer Photo Challenge returns to Crankworx Whistler this year, putting half a dozen of the world’s best outdoor adventure photographers to the test with just three days to shoot, edit and compile a winning slideshow made up of the best mountain bike action,” Barrett wrote.
The competition provides the winner with a cash prize, and more.
“The main focus will still be on Whistler and its mountain bike park, however, with contest rules requiring at least half of each slideshow’s photographs be shot within the resort. But with the expanded boundaries this year, the shutterbugs vying for the $5,000 top prize will have to manage their time as effectively as ever in a contest that has always demanded competitors expect the unexpected.”
