    UPDATE: Minnesota ‘Explorer’ group collecting donations for victims of Aurora shooting at Moby Arena

    Minnesota Explorer Drake Malaske receives a donation in support of victims of the shooting in Aurora from Zoe Lee-Park and Musa Ryan. The group cancelled a recreational trip to Denver in order to collect donations

    For those wishing they could do something to help victims of the shooting in Aurora, Explorer Post 568 of Eagan, Minnesota is providing an outlet.

    The group is collecting donations at a table near Moby Arena as part of the closing ceremonies of Cop Shop  2012 National Law Enforcement Exploring Conference.

    “I like to believe that my kids are a cut above. They’re proving to me every day that they’re willing to put themselves in second place and try to do something for somebody else,” officer Dave Letourneau of Eagan, MN said. “I don’t know how much we’ll be able to raise, but it’s something.”

    Earlier today, were collecting donations earlier at the intersection of College Avenue and Mulberry in the parking lots of Sports Authority and Good Times.

    They are here as part of the Cop Shop conference National Exploring Conference currently being held on campus at CSU, and will be there until 6:30 p.m.
