Since Friday, authorities in Colorado Spring have had a warrant out for the arrest of Brian Hedglin, 40, for the murder of his girlfriend. This morning he surfaced in Utah, according to The Gazette.
Capt. James Van Fleet confirmed that Brian Joseph Hedglin was found in the stolen plane with a self-inflicted gunshot wound.”
But the murder suspect was not the only thing eluding the Colorado Springs police. According to Huffington Post there is a 6-foot lizard on the lose as well.

Teller County Sheriff Mike Ensinger said Tuesday that a 25-pound pet Nile monitor lizard has gone missing after breaking a mesh leash and crawling away.”
Not only are they having difficulties finding the lizard but Ensinger isn’t getting in line to go after it, saying that he “doesn’t do lizards”. Still he wants residents to be alert. He said:
We have a 6-foot reptile out and about. If it gets hungry enough, we don’t know what it will do.”
I guess airports in the area should be on high alert for suspicious looking lizards. If they aren’t careful we might have a copy cat.
