Senior Marketing major Devon Heywood stands on the corner of Prospect Rd. on the afternoon of Jan. 25 in a speedo holding a sign which reads “I suck @ fantasy”. Heywood stood with the sign for an hour as punishment for falling in last place of his Fantasy Football league. At the beginning of the season Heywood “did not think this was a possibility” for him, but in the last week of the season his teams began performing poorly, consequently moving him to last place. “I had the choice between a spray tan, shaving my eyebrows or doing this,” said Heywood. “So I picked this.” (Lucy Morantz | The Collegian)

Maggie Connolly has been making jewelry for the past fifteen years.  She owns her own Jewelry shop, Old Town Metals, which has been located in Old Town Square for the last three years.  Her most popular pieces are earrings but she also makes necklaces and bracelets with materials such as sterling silver, gold, and copper. A police car enters the Larimer County Jail April 9. The Larimer County Jail has plans in place to expand its facility to accommodate for the increasing population of Larimer County. It is expecting to add an additional 400 to 500 beds that would add to the jail’s current 500 beds, ensuring inmate separation is adequate for all genders, ages and behaviors inside the jail.  “The proposed expansion of the jail is to meet the needs of today’s populations,” Captain Palmer, facility administrator for the Larimer County jail said. “The Larimer County jail has been run 24 hours a day and 365 days a year for 35 years and it is wearing out.” (Colin Shepherd | Collegian)
