For athletes, the environment they compete in can greatly hinder the amount of technology they keep on their person. With this in mind, competitive swimmer Dan Eisenhardt created swim and snow goggles that display not only lap and run information, but texts, music and even elevation. 

According to WIRED magazine, the snow googles feature “a dashboard that shows speed, altitude, and vertical descent. There’s also a navigation view that uses the built-in GPS to plot position on a resort map, as well as an app screen that offers access to a camera.”

However, WIRED writer Bill Wasik speculates that the introduction of wearable smart phone devices will present an entirely new obstacle to designers: fashion aesthetics.
