According to Steven Benner, a chemist at the Foundation for Applied Molecular Evolution in Florida, men may not be the only ones from Mars.

Benner’s claim stems from the scientific idea that life began elsewhere in the universe and was transported to earth. Furthermore, Benner’s plan asserts this idea based on NASA’s Curiosity Rover’s recent discovery of life-sustaining material on Mars.
“It’s lucky that we ended up here nevertheless, as certainly Earth has been the better of the two planets for sustaining life,” Benner said in a press release from the European Association of Geochemistry. “If our hypothetical Martian ancestors had remained on Mars, there might not have been a story to tell.”
