Forecast: Winter returns Thursday

After a very dry, warm March, we’ll be kicking off April with a bit of winter weather. Rain and snow are expected beginning in the early morning hours of Thursday. Expect a sloppy mix of precipitation through 1:00 or 2:00pm. Another cold front will move through around that time, bringing gusty winds and snow along with it.

Thanks to the mild weather we’ve experienced lately, the ground has remained pretty warm. About 2-4″ inches of snow should fall — expect about 1-3″ to accumulate on the grass. Roadways should be pretty slushy.

Snow should wrap up before 9:00am Friday. Otherwise, clouds will begin to decrease throughout the day, but temperatures will remain cool. Skies are expected to clear into the weekend with 50s on Saturday and 60s on Sunday. Those beautiful 70s return on Monday!
