Strong winds Tuesday, cooler too

You may have seen or heard that a Red Flag Warning is in effect for Tuesday. Areas east of the foothills have been dry for several days. Combine that with warm temperatures and high winds, and conditions become right for explosive wildfires. A Red Flag Warning signifies this.

For the most part, you’ll just want to be ready for gusty winds. Gusts will reach to about 40mph throughout the day, especially during the afternoon. Otherwise it’ll be a warmer day with lots of cloud cover.

Winds will remain gusty into Wednesday too. In the early morning hours we could see some light snow, but I expect that will quickly transition to rain for the rest of the morning. Some showers may last into the afternoon as well.

Thursday will mark a quick return to our unseasonably warm weather. Clouds clear out Friday as we approach the 70s, and then conditions become very pleasant heading into the weekend.
