I will admit that my track record for these posts have been pretty spotty lately…some weeks I will do them, some weeks I will not. This week I will actually post, as there are a few interesting fashion news stories I have come across.

Remember the infamous Serena Van Der Woodsen? Actress Blake Lively has come back to work after about a year long break as the face of the Gucci Premiére fragrance. She is also involved with the Chime for Change charity initiative, which helps raise money for projects in 81 different countries. Beginning in April, purchasers of any Gucci perfume will be able to donation a $5 portion of the perfume price to a charity of their choice through the Chime for Change website.

Twenty-one year old Sports Illustrated model Kate Upton was announced as the new face of Bobbi Brown cosmetics. Upton was also announced as the new face of Express last week, the celebrity spokesperson for the brand in over a decade. Upton was chosen for her confidence, an inner beauty trait Brown absolutely admires in Upton. Her campaign will be released this July.

Last but not least, Kim Kardashian finally got her Vogue cover with fiancée Kanye West. The two were revealed as the April 2014 cover stars, Kim in a wedding dress sporting her engagement ring. Being the most talked about celebrity couple, it was only a matter of time until Anna Wintour wanted them for the cover of the infamous “fashion bible.” The issue hits stands March 31.
