Best of CSU: Brilliant burger combinations

Between the pre-fixed menu, and the array of options one can choose to put on their made-to-order burger, students can make the best burger they want at Stuft. Photo by Anne-Marie Kottenstette
Between the pre-fixed menu, and the array of options one can choose to put on their made-to-order burger, CSU freshman Chrissy Vessa, journalism, and Samantha Chrisman, undeclared,  make the best burger they want at Stuft. Photo by Anne-Marie Kottenstette

What do doughnuts, grilled cheese and pineapple have in common? They’re all featured ingredients in Stuft’s one of a kind burgers.

These ingredients are certainly not your typical burger toppings, but Stuft has used them to create three combinations that will change the way you see burgers. So give them a try; after all, Stuft has won your votes as the best burger joint here at CSU.

  1. Grilled Cheeseburger
This twist on a classic comfort food is October’s burger of the month. Expect 1/3 lb. of USDA choice chuck topped with American cheese, pickles, tomato and applewood bacon all sandwiched between two separate grilled cheese sandwiches. Grilled cheese will never be the same.
  2. The Hangover
As the name implies, this burger may not cure you the morning after a night out but it certainly won’t hurt. This burger features 1/3 lb. of USDA choice chuck, fried egg, applewood bacon, maple syrup and American cheese. The star of this number is the warm glazed doughnut that it all comes on. If you’re willing to give this breakfast-style burger a try, you won’t be disappointed.
  3. Hula Hula
Island flavors make this number a sweet switch up to your traditional burger. Order this and you will get 1/3 lb. of USDA choice chuck, shaved ham, provolone, pineapple, lettuce and a side of garlic teriyaki. This burger is a pleasant surprise for the taste buds.

Bonus: If you’re in need of a refresher after these unexpected burgers, Stuft’s got you covered. Jess, a Stuft employee, recommends the Ball of Fire milkshake; a classic milkshake with a shot of Fireball added in.

Which one of a kind burger will you try? Whichever you choose you won’t be disappointed. Stuft burger bar is doing burgers their way and they’re doing it right.
