The nightmarish first week of school is finally over. It’s now time to catch up on sleep, socializing and overall mental health.

A friend introduced me to the Yawpers recently; he prefaced them with the explanation “dirty, dirty rock n’ roll.” That title definitely fits.

Heading into this first school-year weekend I can’t help but relate to the outlandish character in this video. I’m nowhere near stripping off my clothes and wearing the U.S. flag as a cape (give it a couple more weeks, though, and we’ll see where I’m at …), but there’s a small chance I’ll be rollerblading around City Park tomorrow.

Cheers to the weekend—and to the Yawpers for making something so damn entertaining.
