“Not just ski porn” movie showing at Jax Mercantile

Himalayan ski mountaineer Ben Clark led a group of fellow mountaineers and friends on an expedition in the Annapurna region of Nepal – and filmed it from start to finish.

Clark will be at Jax Mercantile Tues., Oct. 9 at 7 p.m. to show a free screening of “Ski the Himalayas 2,” which chronicles the expedition.

“This is not just ski porn in high peaks,” Clark said. “It’s a film about an adventure to a foreign country and how to deal with the unexpected from all angles…and still have fun.”

According to Clark, highlights of the film include footage of the group scaling a 20,000 foot peak and surviving an avalanche on the descent.

A Q&A session with Clark will immediately follow the screening, as well as product giveaways from Osprey, Sterling Ropes and Mountain Khakis.

For more information on the film screening please contact Gavin Antsey at gavin@openexposuremedia.com.
