Colorado State University Athletics has entered into a new sponsorship agreement with Dunkin’ Donuts; thereby confirming that the Rams, along with the rest of America, now run on Dunkin’.

While the agreement creates a mutually beneficial relationship between the two franchises, CSU students can also expect to benefit from the partnership.

Dani Belinski, general manager of Rams Sports Properties, says that Dunkin’ Donuts will be present and participating in CSU Athletics throughout this season.

“Fans will see Dunkin’ Donuts handing out collateral at home games, hosting CSU specific events at their stores and offering special green and gold donuts throughout the year at their three northern Colorado locations,” Belinski said.

To celebrate the new partnership, Dunkin’ hosted “Ram Day” on Sept. 3 at their store at 2801 S. College Ave. with CSU coaches and cheerleaders. However, the partnership is not all about fanfare.

Cameron Stapleton, co-founder of the Dawgs & Donuts group, says the franchise hopes to partner with CSU students as well as CSU athletics.

“We’re always looking to do any kind of deal to get students in,” Stapleton said. “We’re open late for study hours, and we serve a full menu all day till 10 p.m.”

In addition to coffee and donuts, Dunkin’ also offers a line of sandwiches and other perks for students; their Loveland location has a conference room that students can use for meetings or group study, and Dunkin’ Donuts coupons are also available in Campus Cash.

Stapleton hopes that through partnering with CSU Athletics and catering to students, Dunkin’ Donuts will stand out from the many student-oriented restaurants that Fort Collins and the surrounding areas have to offer.

“We’re really open to working with anything that the students might need,” Stapleton said, “Not just be another quick-service restaurant in the area.”
