Saturday, Aug. 9, Pingree Park is hosting a festival at the main campus to celebrate 100 years of operating as an education and research facility.
Assistant Director Seth Webb noted that this event marks a significant moment for the Pingree Park campus.

“It’s a celebration of what Pingree has meant to the University, in addition to the Fort Collins community,” Webb said. “We hope that guests are able to connect with the park in terms of the landscape and sense of place.”
According to the event’s website, the festival’s activities will include field courses, guided hikes, a challenge course, live music, a beer garden and more.
Activities are scheduled from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday. Some require online registration through the event website prior to the festival, as space is limited. Guests have the option to stay overnight at the Pingree campus, which also requires online registration.
“Some of our staff members will be leading a history tour,” Webb said. “There are a lot of opportunities to take advantage of what the Pingree Park valley has to offer.”
The Pingree Park Mountain Campus is located 53 miles west of Fort Collins in the Poudre Canyon. Additional information on how to get to the park can be found through the “directions” link.
