When I made an authentic statement on my song “Pull the Plug” where I talk about ending my own life a lot of people related to that. It’s comforting knowing other people feel the same as me and that makes it easier to express myself.”

We accept any donations, anything you would want if you were homeless and we distribute that every Sunday at the Mennonite’s church at 2:15pm in Library Park and the Murphy Center every Sunday at 3:15pm.”

Supporting each other with NoCo Access Point for harm reduction, mutual aid helping support people experiencing homelessness, Food Not Bombs, supporting those communities in and outside of the local music scene. I think its important we are able to host local, free, all age shows. Blast N Scrap is renting out bowling alleys, fields at CSU and anybody can come up and listen and have a good time.”

Riley Davis-McDougal, of the band WolfBlitzer, plays drums during the Kcolorado State University’s FoolsFest Apr 1. “Fort Collins was a really good start for us, we have a lot of people here that have started with us and stayed,” Davis-McDougal stated, “Its always like a really nice home base for us and we really love playing here because we know were going to have great people come out and support us.”

Michael Gormley, Founder and Executive Director of Blast N Scrap, enjoys a conversation during a sound check from the next band at K-Colorado State University’s FoolsFest Blast N Scrap helped host Apr 1. “My venders are all free so they’re not really venders,” Gormley states, “We have Food Not Bombs collecting food donations, collecting cloths for the homeless population, also giving out free clothing. We have Northern Colorado Access Point and they’re handing out Narcan, free condoms and free fentanyl test strips because friends don’t let friends overdose on drugs.”

Our local music director knew Michael Gormley, director at Blast N Scrap, who made this entire thing happen,” Ben Krueger, KCSU station manager stated, “They collaborated and talked about all the different bands that they knew and we just started booking bands left and right, side stage with comedians and noise artists. It just then became a problem of logistics.”
