Beginning in 2025, the offices of Mayor and of each District Council member will be elected using a ranked voting method. An educational meeting about ranked voting was held in the LSC Wednesday, April 23.

The 10th annual ACT film festival took place at the Lyric Cinema over the weekend from April 2-6th. The festival is is a program of Colorado State University’s Department of Communication Studies in the College of Liberal Arts that happens yearly showcasing a diverse array of films that showcase human rights and social justice themes. Apr. 4.

After the showing of Life After, director Reid Davenport sat with Abby Clark for a Q&A. Reid received a standing ovation from the audience after the film, which highlights the missing voices of the disability community in the contemporary debate about assisted dying. "There were so many similar stories with different circumstances that I think have the same message," Davenport said.

Each year the university organizes "call to act" partners for the film festival. It partners films with relevant organizations in the community who are doing related work. Friday night's "call to act" partner was the CSU's Student Disability Center. "We've had our Disability Accessibility Week all week long. Tonight is the end and we can't think any better way to do it," Justin Dove, director of the Student Disability Center, said.
