According to a news release, fire restrictions approved today by the Poudre Fire Authority and Larimer County Comissioner include the following:
No open fires, no open camp or cooking fires
Ad
Smoking in the open and discarding of cigarettes is not allowed
No fireworks or fireworks displays are allowed (see mapped area)
No agricultural burning
Contained open fires are not restricted at this time. Contained open fires means fires in permanently constructed stationary masonry or metal fireplaces, the use of internal or external combustion engines, fireplaces or woodstoves in permanent structures, fires in commercially operated wood and charcoal grills and fires in camp stoves and gas grills.
Restrictions apply west of County Road 19, 21 and 23, and north of County Road 60 and 58.
The restrictions are set to expire Tuesday, Sept. 3, 2013. The restrictions issued today were based on a recommendation from the Larimer Count Sheriff’s office.
