The challenge of figuring out what to name your child in our current political environment is a tough feat. But no matter the challenge, there is always going to be an opportunity for you to name your child after the over 90 executive orders that President Donald Trump has signed so far this year. Here are some of the top picks that should really tickle your fancy.
If you do a simple Google search of Turning Point USA, you would be met by this message on their main page that reads, "TPUSA is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization whose mission is to identify, educate, train and organize students to promote freedom." This seems innocent enough. I mean, who doesn't love the idea of promoting freedom?
As much as I love the second half of the spring semester — the warm and fresh weather boosts my mood, work ethic and overall vibe —registering for classes definitely brings unneeded stress to my already stressful life. Not only am I sent into a vicious cycle of worrying about what classes I need and then worrying because they’re not offered, but I frequent one website more often than Canvas, Gmail or ChatGPT (jokes, jokes) combined: Rate My Professors.

The relationship an average student has with their college campus is far from normal. At least for the first year, it’s where they eat, sleep and work. As a result, campus can seem to encompass a person’s entire life, but hopefully it doesn’t act as such an all-consuming black hole.

On September 26th, 2024, I so confidently claimed "Kamala Harris is Brat, will win election because of it." But while Kamala Harris achieved virality in certain circles, Donald Trump achieved it in others.
Dr. Tony Frank, chancellor of the Colorado State University System, recommended that CSU campuses follow new Department of Education directives eliminating diversity, equity and inclusion programs. Perhaps he should tell CSU to stand by the laws and vision that has guided this vital Land Grant Institution since 1862.
It is sickening to think that an alternate universe without diversity, equity and inclusion policies on Colorado State University campus is an entirely plausible one. Despite student protests, petitions and stale reassurances from the CSU administration, we are already regressing into a campus completely rid of any diversity, equity or inclusion.
When I was staring at the residence halls' website, deciding where I wanted to live and where I would best fit in, I struggled. I knew I was entering a predominately white institution, and I knew I had to find a place where I would be able to form community and find friends within the dorm. For me, it was a tie between a community focused on reading and Key Communities.
It may appear as though Colorado State University has discussed the recent diversity, equity and inclusion changes sweeping across the country, but let me remind you: The CSU administration is not addressing these executive orders; they're rolling them over.
