Male “Sings Like a Girl” and Gets Spot on the Voice

Jordan Smith, the man with the magic voice

Usually the term “like a girl” is an insult, something you don’t want to hear even IF you are a girl. However, singing “like a girl”, with the range and power that women can have, may just land you a spot on Adam Levine’s team of the Voice.

“After a whopping eight seasons of The Voice (yes, seriously!), many of us have admittedly become jaded viewers of the singing competition. It takes a lot to shock and awe us these days, but somehow contestant Jordan Smith did just that in last night’s Season 9 premiere!

The Lee University student had the first audition of the night, and The Voice producers really amped up the drama by keeping his version of Sia’s “Chandelier” blind to even the viewers until midway through the performance. And damn if the gimmick didn’t actually pay off!”
