Turns out that the show Friends lied to us; when you change your name to something crazy, they won’t give you a new drivers license. That includes if you decided to change your name to emulate a fictional character, like this man.

“A Toy Story fanatic who officially changed his name to BUZZ LIGHTYEAR is being forced to revert back to his birth moniker – after the DVLA refused to give him a driving licence.

Barmy Buzz, 26, went from insanity to beyond and ditched his birth name Sam Stephens after he hit a £2,000 cancer charity fund raising target for the Brighton Marathon.”
