Assumptions v. reality of those with tattoos

Vancouver-artist shows misconceptions of tattooed people
Photography by Spencer Kovat

It’s common practice in society for us to judge people based on their outward appearance, however a Vancouver-based photographer set out to show how we perceive people based on the body art, according to an article from The Huffington Post.

“The piece evolved from a before and after showcase of tattoo art, to a story about the people who are under the cover of their tattoos,” photographer Spencer Kovat said.

The photo series shows the before and after photos of 30 men and women in full dress that doesn’t show their tattoos and what they look like with their ink exposed.
