Tour London through Mohawks and face-piercings

London youth characterized by body art. The transition from Punk to second wave punk to Oi (skinhead pub rock) to the new romantic style included many shifts in style among the London youth, however two things consistently stuck as part of the seen: Mohawks and facial piercings, according to a New York Times article.

“Beautiful kids (youth is always beautiful) were doing everything in their power to disguise their good looks and to subvert the conventions of fashion and style, and even of beauty itself.” the video artist John Maybury said to the Times.
