As more and more potential hires get tattoos and piercings, the issue of how to treat employees and job applicants with body art has become more important. On the opposite side, as colleges students enter the workforce, it is important to be mindful of how body art makes us appear, according to the Phoenix Business Journal. 

“Generally, employers are permitted to implement dress and grooming policies that address tattoos and piercings, but with the understanding that accommodations may be required,” the article reads.

What it comes down to in most cases is the nature and quality of the art. Understandably, offensive body art should be hidden while on the job.
