Despite their best efforts, the marketing team behind the Affordable Care Act missed the mark when they included mom jeans and bad tattoos in their latest push to get a younger crowd on board, according to USA Today. 

“The ‘mothers know best’ idea is central to a new marketing blitz, which includes a TV ad, that encourages mothers to get their adult children to sign up for insurance coverage through HealthCare.gov, the government’s website,” reporter Catalina Camia writes.

The push drew a large amount criticism on twitter after the images were posted.
