Most people get tattoos done before any major health problems set in, however, age can cause spinal problems that call for surgery which often distorts ink post-op. For Dr. Tyler Koski, surgery on tattooed patients should not only ensure their health, but the preservation of their art.
“It’s an art form like anything else. And people are proud of them and they are meant to be permanent,” Koski said to the Chicago Sun Times.
