Moving forward with Ford’s electric car

While cars capable of making cross-country drives solely on solar power still exist in the future, Ford’s new solar hybrid car the C-Max Solar Energi shows they are one step closer. The prototype, presented at International CES gadget show, can travel 21 miles on solar power before the engine needs to assist, according to the Chicago Daily Herald. 

“While the car is being tested on streets now, engineers have more to figure out. For example, the carport is set up to be flat, making it vulnerable to weather,” the Associated Press said.
