With the increased amount of evidence advocating the benefits of a vegan diet, many people have turned to the growing trend to pursue a healthier lifestyle, according to One Green Planet. 

According to One Green Planet, health and animal rights cause people to turn to veganism when they “hear a news report about an undercover video of animal abuse, or watch a YouTube video, or read something and decide to become vegetarian or vegan because they don’t want to contribute to animal cruelty.”
