Despite a large advertising budget, Bing still doesn’t quick stack up to Google. However, a new search engine called Blippex, developed by Maz Kossatz and Gerald Baeck, emerged and is satisfying the privacy concerns of many Google users.
“Blippex is built by its own users. And this makes its search results radically—and perhaps interestingly—different,” according to an article on Quartz.

The main difference between the search giant and the new start up lies with their base algorithms. While Google uses PageRank, a system that ranks how important other pages are based on how much they are linked to, Blippex uses DwellRank which orders results based on how much time users spend on them.
