Homeless man turns in thousands of dollars to police

Glen James, a Boston homeless man, found a backpack containing tens of thousands of dollars in cash and traveler’s checks last Saturday evening in the South Bay Mall in Boston, Mass.

After finding the pack, James immediately flagged down law enforcement in the mall and handed the money over to authorities.

James said that even if he were desperate for cash he wouldn’t have kept a penny and was happy to see the money returned to its rightful owner, according to Bridget Murphy with the Associated Press.

The pack belonged to a Chinese student who was visiting a friend in the city.
