The Black Friday Death Count

It’s a constant joke here in America that people are willing to do anything to get what they need at a Black Friday sale. However, that’s often more true than not, and there is now a website that will show you just how much faith in humanity is lost to this holiday each year.

“Black Friday. As the meme says, “Because only in America, people trample others for sales exactly one day after being thankful for what they already have.” Depending on who you are, Black Friday, the day after Thanksgiving, is either a spectacular way for stores across the United States to get a jump on Christmas sales and boost their earnings, or it’s a widespread madness marking the height of extreme consumerism bordering on fanaticism.

Either way you look at it, Black Friday can be dangerous.

A new website has started tracking fatalities and serious injuries resulting from the manic shoppers trying to get the best deals on toys, electronics, and other big-ticket items that American stores offer in the early morning hours of Black Friday.”
