Punk the Musical?

Did you know that Fat Mike, the lead singer of NOFX, is writing a musical?

According to SFWeekly, the singer has written a new “concept album”, which will release in February of the coming year. He teamed up with his actress friend Soma Snakeoil and Avenue Q composer Jeff Marx for the completion of the album, but the musical release is still under wraps.

“The story follows Sue, “a 16-year-old runaway who plunges headfirst into the deviant subculture and alternative lifestyle of the streets.” It’s based on “true stories of the authors’ experiences.” And all in time for Valentine’s Day,” reports Emma Silvers.
