Security guard arrested for sexual assault of a student at Colorado high school

A high school security guard was arrested Monday night for sexual assault of a student in Parker, Colorado.

Gary Postell was a Douglas County School District Campus Security specialist at Ponderosa High School. He was immediately taken into custody at his home in Castle Rock, Colorado, when the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office received a report of the assault at approximately 5:30 p.m. Nov. 28.

The incident reportedly occurred at Ponderosa High School, located at 7007 Bayou Gulch Rd., Parker, CO. 

Postell was booked in the Douglas County Detentions Center on suspicion of Sex Assault on a child by one in a position of trust and is being held without bond. 

The case is still under investigation.
