Around 4:30 a.m. the City of Fort Collins also sent a tweet saying that Fort Collins facilities are open during regular operating hours today.

The National Weather Service warning states that the snow fall will be heavy at times and decrease this afternoon but there could be a total of 4 to 11 inches by late today. Hazardous winter driving conditions can be expected with ice and snow packed roadways. It also states that a winter storm warning means severe winter weather conditions are expected or occurring and it could make travel dangerous. The warning recommends only traveling when necessary.
