Northern Colorado’s largest single day food drive hit the Oval on campus this morning. President Tony Frank gave a brief speech before laying the first cans along the Oval’s exterior. The annual food drive, which originated with the idea of a single CSU student back in 1987, hopes to beat last years astounding collection of non-parishable food items which reached over 52,000 pounds and over $41,000 in donations. Volunteers will be collecting cans in front of the Colorado State administration building until 4 p.m.
