Prospect Road to reopen Saturday, ahead of schedule

Traffic near the CSU campus will get back to normal over the weekend.

After being closed for a month, Prospect Road just west of College Avenue will reopen Saturday morning, according to a city news release. Initially, the road was going to be closed until April 14.

The road was shut down to traffic for construction of the MAX bus rapid transit system.

According to the release, “New water lines, sewer pipes and electric conduits were relocated, and a new concrete roadway, curb & gutter, and sidewalks were installed as part of the new pedestrian-friendly MAX transit system.”
