This is College Days, the weekend of celebrating before finals week that put Colorado State University on the map as the place to party in the Rocky Mountain region. Alumni from the time of this affair will recall large amounts of 3.2% beer, great musical guests and plenty of reckless behavior.

CSU students to perform at electronic art festival, explore the visualization of sound

Four students in an electronic art class will perform at the Lafyette Electronic Art Festival on Friday April 27 at 7 p.m.. Four art students taking Installation and Sonic Art have created a collaborative art performance using various electronic sounds and instruments that explores the visualization of sound.

The Fort Collins Music eXperiment brings local music to the spotlight

FoCoMX is presenting 360 artists at over 30 locations on Friday, April 27 and Saturday, April 28. Created by the grassroots nonprofit FoCoMA ten years ago, FoCoMX gives the community an opportunity to hear the aspiring local music in the Northern Colorado area.
Construction materials are not just made for labor, Saxon Martinez emphasizes. For his current assignment, he is using materials such as concrete, wood, and foam installation boards. These materials can be made into art, and Martinez plans to use them as such, depicting his Latino heritage and the stereotypes that come with it. ACT Human Rights Film Festival: ‘Chega de Fiu Fiu’ advocates expose catcalling culture in Brazil, advocates for intersectional feminism

A woman is raped every 11 minutes in Brazil. This is why the documentary film “Chega de Fiu Fiu,” which is Portuguese for "No More Catcalling," is so important to changing the current climate of sexual harassment, sexual assault and gender based violence in Brazil.
Owen Zielinski, a freshman double majoring in Biochemistry and Psychology, creator of the Survivor CSU series talks about the changes made in this season. Zielinski's goal is to unite the residents of Academic Village by breaking down any possible "Engineering vs. Honors elitism." Survivor CSU is in its second season titled Fans Versus Favorites CSU that puts a team of favorite competitors from last season against a team of fans of the first season.  The teams will compete in a variety of challenges around Fort Collins with the losing team having to vote a teammate off the show, the last person left winning a $200 prize.
