It is well known that the “-ber” months are some of the most significant of the year for couples. Going to pumpkin patches, watching spooky movies in matching pajamas and baking are on most couples’ bucket lists as we approach the fall season.

And as Halloween approaches, couples are frantically trying to choose the best costume to wear with their boo. With so many options, it can be overwhelming to choose what your coordinating costumes should be. Well, you’re in luck because we have the five best couple costumes for you and your significant other this October.

Taylor Swift and Jake Gyllenhaal

Of all Taylor Swift’s exes, there seems to be something special about Jake Gyllenhaal. I mean, you don’t write a 10-minute break up song about just anyone. Olivia Wilde and Harry Styles

Just let us adore you and your partner as this controversial couple. After the casting of Harry Styles in “Don’t Worry Darling,” Olivia Wilde and Styles fell into a whirlwind relationship filled with lots of PDA. Now maybe there was some controversy surrounding their relationship and even a potential affair on set, but this would make the perfect costume if you and your partner are looking for an excuse to get handsy during the night.

Nicole Kidman and Tom Cruise

Nicole Kidman and Tom Cruise would make one of the best couples costumes you could hope for. With the hunky “Top Gun” actor — an extreme Scientologist — and an Academy Award-winning actress — definitely not a Scientologist — this costume is sure to win over everyone’s hearts. No, maybe they are not together anymore, and maybe that has something to do with Cruise’s intense loyalty to the Church of Scientology, but this shouldn’t stop you and your significant other from going as this heartthrob couple.

Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck

Who doesn’t love the on-and-off-again couple? After an engagement, fierce rumors from tabloids and a break up, Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck got back together almost two decades later and finally got the wedding they wanted all the way back in the early 2000s. Sure, they aren’t living together anymore, and they’ve officially filed for divorce after two years of marriage. But the story of their second-chance romance is sure to make anyone swoon at your adorable Halloween costume.
