LTTE: Endorsement of Ward Luthi for Mayor of Fort Collins

I am writing to enthusiastically recommend Ward Luthi for Mayor of Fort Collins.

I was present for a candidate forum presented by the League of Women Voters of Larimer County March 5, 2015.  Ward’s compelling presentations of his stances on the issues and his vision for Fort Collins won me over immediately.

The video of this forum is now on Ward’s website at http://wardformayor.org/.

You can watch the entire forum or use the bookmarks provided on the site to see and hear Ward’s statements on various issues such as growth, corporate subsidies, trains in Fort Collins, homelessness, the proposed on-campus Stadium, municipal broadband, the Poudre and water conservation and fracking.

Ward’s website also contains clear and concise written statements of his positions on the issues.

Ward is well known to many as an engaged member of the Fort Collins community who has been active in local affairs for many years.

His endorsements for Mayor include: Senator John Kefalas, Representative Joann Ginal; City Council Members Ross Cunniff, Bob Overbeck and Lisa Poppaw; Former City Council members David Roy, Scott Mason, Bill Bertschy, and Alan Apt.

Ward is also endorsed by environmental groups, including the Sierra Club, Clean Water Action and Stop the Stadium.

I think you’ll agree that Ward Luthi is deeply committed to, and will do everything possible to protect the well being of the Fort Collins Community, its residents and its environment.

Sandy Lemberg, Fort Collins
