ASCSU hosts annual Grill the Buffs event ahead of Rocky Mountain Showdown

The Associated Students of CSU are hosting the annual Grill the Buffs event at the corner of West Plum Street and Meridian Avenue today from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The event features a buffalo burger grill, spirit events and tailgate games. CSU’s mascot Cam the Ram may make an appearance, according to Guillermo Ramirez, the deputy director of traditions and athletics.

Ramirez said the purpose of the event is to provide an outlet for CSU students to show support for the Rams football team in the Rocky Mountain Showdown against in-state rival CU-Boulder Friday.

Ramirez said that ASCSU hopes to increase school pride at the event, and expects the event to be fun and spirit-filled.
