19th annual “Hip Hop Explosion”

Taking place from 6:30-9:30 p.m. in the Lory Student Center main ballrooms, the performance will showcase step dance and hip hop.

Traditionally, performers have come from some of the best Greek step teams across Colorado.

“We’re getting close to our 20th anniversary and we want to encompass the broad range of talents from all over CSU, not just step teams,” said Jesus Ornelas, president of the Black Student Alliance. “So that we can get back to the roots of why the show was created in the first place.”

This year comedian Damon Williams will be hosting the event, which costs $12 on csutix.com or $15 at the door.

Ornelas said Black Student Alliance has a responsibility and duty to make the show fun and entertaining for everyone by combining laughter, stepping, music and dance into one show.
